The Detectory is You : A group activity in which participants team up to become part of a particle detector. Each participant plays a role in the collective identification of the particle traveling amongst them.
Teams compete for the fastest, most accurate identifications, learn about detector technology and particle detection principles in the process.
The activity can be played on a mobile device with a standards-based web browser and wifi connectivity (the activity can be hosted on premises, or over the Internet).
- Develop a Three.JS skybox scene.
- Integrate funky particle trajectory visualizations.
- Develop a mobile web UI to tune the detector, perform readings and vote.
- Mobile web 3D interfaces (e.g. Three JS) - experience with skyboxes a plus.
- Progressive Web app programming, Web UI design (e.g. VueJS, Google Polymer).
- Websocket backend programming (e.g. Node, Spring Boot).
