Simple, but accurate Particle Collision Learning Tool

Image
Description

As many other, I would (as a technician and therefore non-physicist) be highly appreciating an understandable, but still scientifically accurate introduction to fundamental particles and their interactions. So I propose a learning app which would be aimed towards non-physicists and non-science staff at CERN on the one hand, and on the other – and particularly - toward people outside CERN and students.

The goal would be that the user gains a basic understanding on the principles of the Standard Model and, moreover, the mechanisms which happen during a particle collision, leading to an understanding of meaning and purpose of CERN experiments. It should be a playful approach, but still not lack scientific accuracy, so it can be used by schools and for introductory program.
